Thought I was closer to the home stretch!

I PULLED AHEAD OF EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY CONTEST BY 2.5%!!! The people I have been in close running with all stayed the same or gained from last week. I lost 3 lbs. I just found out last night that the family contest goes until July 11th, not July 4th. I am glad because I am not ready for freedom without any consequence(except weight gain!) They are going to start a contest right after to see who can keep it off the longest so that is good! The link to that blog is http://petersonweightchallenge.blogspot.com/

June 13 - 140 LBS!!! - Have lost 52 total

The top picture is of Rachel's ballet performance last night. She was a peep! It was darling.

I am at the end of the 9th week on Isagenix. I have lost 28 lbs on Isagenix (pulled off a 4 lb loss this last week!) and lost 52 lbs total for the year. AMAZING! I had a rough weekend - ate out for dinner Saturday night and then Sunday dinner with....Asphalt pie from Wingers as a birthday cake. The gal I bought the Isageinx through said if I have days in a row where the situation is uncontrollable, then cleanse 2 days in a row after and it will help move the food through your body. That is what I did - cleansed Monday and Tuesday(yesterday) and all is well.

As of today, there are only 3 weeks left in the family competition. My goal was to get to 130lbs. If I can keep up the pace and have 2 weeks of a 3 lb loss and 1 week of a 4, I will hit my number! YEAH! I have decided that when I hit my goal weight, I am going to do another round of a 30 day Isagenix. My goal is 130lbs but who knows what my body will do with this same regimen after hitting the 130.

I am proud of myself! It is only Wednesday and I have already exercised 2 days this week!

June 10 - Slimmer Shaper & Isagenix tips on the web

So I was at church today and it is so funny how everyone that sees me can not believe how much weight I have lost. I had 2 different people ask me how much more I wanted to lose and said they thought I would look too thin if I lose 14 more lbs. It is because everyone is so used to seeing me hang out around 165-175 that I look so different in the 140's. Here is one of the quick tips........

SLIMMER SHAPER! It is fabulous. The picture above is one of the two I have. I also bought one that goes right above the knee to with shorter skirts. The website is www.bodyshapewear.com. It just smooths everything out. It is only 29.95 and worth every penny!
For the Isagenix tips - www.startserious.com - It has all these success stories and chat forums to see different things people experience doing the program. Then, www.allinonebottle.com which explains about the Ionix Supreme - you might need to read this over and over to remind you that even though it tastes AWFUL, it is helping you lose weight faster. June 6 - 144 lbs - week 8 Isagenix

I was very focused this week. As I mentioned, in the family competition, another family member pulled head of me for the first time since the contest started last week. At first, I was getting mad at myself for blowing the week after the triathlon but I can't focus on the past, I have to focus on each day and the positive, healthy results I am getting.

I got a bit sick over the weekend which I think was heat stroke. I did too much yard work in the heat and I was not hydrated enough. I am still exhausted because James is not sleeping. I didn't exercise enough this week because the pool was closed due to them taking off the bubble. I did start the "couch potato to 5K in 9 weeks" program with some neighbors and love it! I am going to do the swim and run in a triathlon in August.

I did my measurements today and I have lost .5 off of my neck, 1 inch off each of my arms, 4 inches off my chest (yes I had to get new bras!), 4 inches off my waist, 3.5 off my hips and 3.75 off my thighs! Wooooah! I am fitting into pants I have not worn in 6 years! (yes, I saved them)

May 30 - 147 lbs! Won neighborhood contest - Week 7 Isagenix

Today's pictures. I have been still going to the neighborhood Weight Watchers group we formed in January. Go figure that for all the weight I have lost, I have never won a month. I DID WIN LAST NIGHT! I had lost 7 lbs this last month and my percentage beat out the other person who lost 9 lbs but she is heavier than I am.

I am sad but motivated. For the first time in the family contest, someone else pulled ahead. I did not swim all week and that is partly why.

On a side note, this Isagenix thing is supposed to be a cleanse right? Well I hadn't seen much of anything until this week. I realized I had not gone to the bathroom for a few days and then WAMO! Black sludge exited my body all day long. I could not believe it. I have never seen anything like it. I guess my body took longer than normal to release those toxins. I realized that if I had only done the 30 day program once, I never would have gotten rid of that junk.

May 23 - 149 lbs - lost what I gained - Week 6 Isagenix

It took a week of work to lose the 4 lbs it took 4 days to gain. I did lose 2 more on top of the 4 I lost though. I will learn my lesson. I decided to do a straight shake day - shake for breakfast, lunch and dinner - one day and it helped. I won't do that very often though. Back to square one and I am focused.

May 16 - 153 lbs - fell off the wagon for a few days - Week 5

Here are pictures from the triathlon. The top picture is of me and my husband Jason. The bottom picture is my relay team - Kammie on the left, me in the middle and Michelle on my right. We had a fun time!!!

Ok, I have learned that I don't have any control. I said I was going to eat healthy to have the strength to swim....well, I bailed out into the lifeboat 200 meters into the swim and didn't finish the race. Then, that made me feel like I could eat whatever and I ate a Kit Kat bar and bowls of cereal....so I gained. Nice going. Well, now I have to work even harder to get down to 130lbs.

May 9 - 151 lbs - day 30 on Isagenix

WOOO HOOO! I lost 17 lbs total and 20.5 inches. I lost 3 inches in my waist, 2.5 inches off my thighs, 2 inches off my chest and 2.5 off my hips. I will be so curious to see how the next 30 days goes. I have had sooo many people ask me what I am doing to lose the weight. Remember, I had already lost 24 before I started, then have lost another 17 on this so I almost to the lowest I have been in 6 years.

I want to get to 130 lbs by the end of the family contest which ends on July 1 so if I lose 10 lbs a month, I can make it. I have been against people doing south beach and body for life and I have been ahead of everyone in the contest all 4 weeks.

The triathlon is this weekend so I am going to only do the shake in the morning and then try to eat healthy so I have enough calories and strength to do the swim.

May 2 - 154 lbs - Forgot to mention about Isagenix cleansing

Ok, so the 2nd cleanse day....not so easy. I was soooo tired but James woke up 6 times last night. I can't determine if I am tired because of lack of sleep or the detox my body is doing. My mom started Isagenix after I was into it a week and she HATED the cleanse day. It made her stomach a bit upset. She is going to try drinking 2 oz 6 times vs 4 oz 3 times. It is weird though, we both haven't really been hungry through this.

Here is what I have found. I am so used to snacking throughout the day that now that I am on a scheduled plan, I am not hungry, I am just missing the snacking. It is hard not to eat a few handfulls of cereal when I give it to Rachel in the morning. It is hard not to finish the bag of fruit snacks that she leaves on the counter. I am doing well though. I am only doing fruits or vegetables for snacks - that is the suggestion. I find if I eat fruit for my snack, I am hungry 30 minutes later where vegies fill me up.

April 20 - 160 lbs - day 10 of Isagenix

Down 8 lbs total in 10 days. I am committed and motivated.....the baby isn't sleeping so I am exhausted but I am still getting up and swimming 3 times a week. I think all the vitamins and minerals in the Ionix Supreme are the only thing saving me! The girl I bought it from called me to see if I wanted to come to a "meeting" to start selling it but I am not interested in that. I just want to lose weight and cleanse junk out of my body. Done too many of those types of things to be motivated to sell it.

Here are my days:

Shake day (6 days a week):
Morning - shake, Ionix Supreme vitamins, 1 IsaFlush pill (keeps bowels moving) and 1 Natural Accelerator pill(keeps metabolism moving).
10 am - 50 calorie snack of vegetables of fruit - they give you these chocolate snacks you can eat but they taste like chalk so I am doing vegetables because I get hungry when I eat fruit - I think the sugar makes me hungry?! AND WATER
Lunch -400-600 calorie low fat lunch - I have been eating 2 Lean Cuisines that equal 600 calories and am addicted to their Margherita Pizzas! Also, 1 Isa Flush pill and 1 Natural Accelerator pill AND WATER
3 pm - 50 calorie snack with WATER
Dinner - shake with WATER
Every day you are supposed to drink 1/2 of your body weight in water so I am drinking 85+oz of water a day.

Cleanse Day(1 day a week):
Wake up - Ionix Supreme and WATER
8:00 am - 4 ounces Cleanse For Life Juice, 1 Accelerator capsule and 1 Natural Accelerator Pill
10:00 am 50 calorie snacks and WATER
Lunch - 4 ounces Cleanse For Life Juice, 1 Accelerator capsule and 1 Natural Accelerator Pill
2:00 pm - 50 calorie snack and WATER
4:00 pm - 4 ounces Cleanse For Life Juice
6:00 pm - 50 calorie snack and WATER
8:00 pm 4 ounces Cleanse For Life Juice

So far, so good. Lets see how I do by the end of the 30 days!

April 13 - 164 lbs - Day 3 of Isagenix

Lost 4 lbs!!! Also, they make you take all these measurements day 1 and day 3 and I lost 5.25 inches. Today is my first cleanse day. Again, the Ionix Supreme in the morning is not too great. The cleanse is not too bad. I guess I take 4 oz of the liquid 4 times today - 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm and 8 pm and have 50 calorie snacks inbetween.

April 11 - 168 lbs - Day 1 of Isagenix

Here are my before Isagenix pictures. My husband took these today. I also had to take a lot of measurements and write it down in the book they send you in the kit. So you start with 2 precleanse days (today and tomorrow) which is a shake in the morning, 400-600 calorie meal for lunch and a shake for dinner with a 50 calorie snack between breakfast and lunch and then another one between lunch and dinner. So far, so good. I only bought the chocolate shake (they have vanilla too) and it is pretty good - definitely not a chocolate malt thought! In the morning, you also drink this stuff called Ionix Supreme that has a lot of vitamin B complexes.....definitely not good but it is only 2 TBSP so I can live with it (as long as I chase it with the shake to get the taste out of my mouth.)

April 1 - Rebounded to 170 lbs- DECIDING TO START ISAGENIX

I have ordered Isagenix because I have completely lost focus and I need a strict program. I am back at 170.5 and I just found out that my 15 year class reunion is at the end of the summer. Also, my husband's family decided to start a weight loss challenge and we are all putting in $100 in the pot and competing for 12 weeks. I have a friend that did Isagenix for 6 months and lost 60 lbs. She has kept it off so I am going to give it a try. The family contest starts Wednesday, April 11 and I will be ready.

March 27 - 165 lbs - Oops

So, I didn't focus again and gained a few lbs. Not good. I need to find my motivation again. The problem is that I am back in my size 12 jeans and am celebrating my accomplishments too much!

March 12 - 163lbs - Doing Good

I am still doing Atkins and have gotten down to 163! I have been training for the St. George Triathlon and swimming 3 times a week for the last few weeks. I think that has been a help!

March 5 - 168 lbs

I lost 2 lbs. I need to be proud of my loss, I just can't believe I didn't focus last week. I need to celebrate my accomplishments because I AM IN THE 160'S!!!! YEAH

Feb 20 - 170 still - fell off the wagon

I had a horrible week. I did not focus and I didn't lose. Next week will be better!

Feb 13 - 170lbs

Again 4 lbs. I can't complain about that! I am almost in the 160's. It is weird that I am so excited for all the weight loss when I am no where close to where I want to be! I want to weigh 130 like I used to.

Feb 6 - 174 lbs

Lost another 4 lbs - good but I was expecting more results from Atkins. I am wondering if it is because it is hard to eat all the points I am supposed to be having for nursing when all I am eating is protein...eating peanut butter...that can't be too healthy!

Jan 23 - 178 lbs - Mixed it up this week

I did lose 2 lbs so I need to be proud but I went back to my old ways. I started Atkins 2 days ago but am eating the right amount of points so I won't lose my breastmilk. I had plateaued this week so that is why I decided to kick it up. Lets see how next week goes.

Jan 16 - 180 lbs - First Before Pictures Taken - Beat prepregnancy weight this week!!

Ok, another 4 lbs. Just dropped below my prepregnancy weight! Yeah! Took these picts Jan 18 and my weight was 179. I decided that I needed some before picts. I wish I had taken them Jan 1 when I weighed 192!!! I am wondering how much weight I will have to lose before the rolls on my back go away! I don't own a full length mirror and I now know why!!!

Jan 9 - 184 lbs

I lost 4 lbs in a week - Not Bad- Feeling Accomplished.

Jan 4 2007 - 188 lbs - New Neighborhood WW group

Lucky enough, a few other gals in my neighborhood decided they had the motivation to start losing weight too. There were commercials on TV that said registration was free at the local WW but then the fine print said participating locations only. Of course, our local WW was not participating. We decided we would get together every Tuesday night and weigh in. We put $5 in the pot and at the end of the month, who ever lost the most % of weight, wins the money.

Starting weight with the group - 188 - I lost 4 lbs in 4 days doing WW so far

Jan 1 2007 - 192lbs -starting Weight Watchers

Ok, so I had the baby 3 weeks ago and I weigh 192. I am going to start Weight Watchers from home with my mom (we have all the books, I have never done the program though). I get extra points because I am nursing. We will see how this goes.

January 1 2007 First Day of the Rest of My Life

Weight History

I just had a baby 3 weeks ago - December 5 - and he was 8lb 3 oz and adorable. I weighed 181 when I got pregnant and delivered James weighing 208!!! I am 5'3" so I wasn't looking pretty. When I got married 9 years ago, I weighed 130. I went up to 165 in our 2nd year of marraige and lost 32 lbs in 11 weeks on Atkins. Over the next year I gained 15 lbs and got pregnant with Rachel in June 2000 weighing 147. I delievered her weighing 199 lbs - I told them to do what ever it took to deliver her before I broke 200 lbs. After I had her, I hovered between 160 lbs - 170 lbs. At one point in 2002 I did get down to 147 (for a day!) and then was so excited I got down there, I stopped trying and went right back up.
